I thought that we could post various tennis trivia questions in this thread [should they be mutiple choice or not ?]

Yes it was b and it was Renee Richards. I was amazed so many people knew, I only read about it in passing in a magazine. Can someone enlighten me a little more on the story ? I assume it caused quite a controvery at the time, did Wade win ?

its a gamble, but it was the year professional tennis started for both men and women at the same time, 1975

The Renee Richards story did cause a bit of a stir back in the late 1970s (I was only 11 in 1977 and I remember hearing about it) but I don't think she was ever that good, even after she became a female player.

She ended up being part of Martina Navratilova's support team and once claimed to be the most normal person in it!

No qualifiers, only main draws count from Futures right up to Grand Slam level.
