I'm away for 3 days, so I shall have to let my voodoo sister do all the pin-sticking. Go, Imoen! (and make a better job of it than I have done recently!)
It went as well as could be expected last night. The table's updated:

Lu & Querrey in Busan, who both need to reach the final to overtake Alex, but would meet in the semis first. Lu plays local wildcard Jun, Querrey plays Goldstein in the Quarters tomorrow morning. So the ideal scenario is for Goldstein to take out Querrey tomorrow & Lu on Saturday.
Goldstein Strategy Part 1 Achieved: Querrey went out last night. Lu, unfortunately didn't and is now just 3 points behind Alex. Hopefully Goldstein can do the business for us tomorrow morning.

So today's targets are : Berlocq & Bozoljac, then Lu & Querrey overnight.
If you've some spare animosity, please direct it at Dlouhy, Waske, Pashanski and Kim to stop them putting too much distance between themselves & Boggo.
Berlocq got through . Bozoljac was knocked out
Ahead of Alex, Delic motors on - he's on fantastic form at the moment. Waske wins his Eckental R2, and Kim is knocked out
So the remaining threats are:
Lu in Busan (see above), who'd be the first to overtake overnight tonight.
Kubot in Bratislava, who also needs to reach the final. He plays Koubek today, then probably Dlouhy or Luzzi on Saturday.
Berlocq in Buenos Aires, who again needs to reach the final. He plays Canas (yes that Canas!) in the QF this evening, and then Di Mauro or, Marin in the Semi.
Zib in Bratislava needs to win the tournament. He'll face Cervenak this afternoon, then Sluiter or Mertinak, then the finalist from Dlouhy, Kubot & Koubek's half in the final.
All four could overtake, so that's a worst case 124th at the end of the week for Alex.

Oh No! I'm going away for a few days as well. I still have a little bit of time so I'll set all the dolls up and stick the pins in I just won't be able to wiggle them around during matches! Hopefully it will be enough
So if Boggo is overtaken by anyone else this weekend you will all know that you really shouldn't get in the bad books of either of us!!

I thought that Koubek would beat Kubot quite easily given how well he plays in sets 1 and 3 against Carlsen. However, Koubek was simply dire today, he made so, so many unforced errors. Everytime he tried to up the pace or attack a short ball he netted the shot. Kubot didn't really have to do anything. He just patiently rallied from the baseline, hitting percentage shots straight down the middle until Koubek slammed it out or into the net.
Goldstein did the business and knocked Lu out for us.. Kubot was knocked out by Dlouhy in Bratislava. Berlocq by Canas in BA, and Zib by Cervenak in BRatislava.
- those special "away for the weekend" pins are pretty potent - all of em lost, & Zib by a walk-over.
Waske, ahead, was knocked out in the QF at Eckental. Delic in the semis in Nashville.
Dlouhy rose off the top of the table again thanks to beating Kubot for us.

Bravo!
Looks like Madeline and I should go away for the weekend more often. Hopefully Boggo will give us a hand this week and start moving back up the rankings, it's his turn to win again Sluiter surely! (the Sluiter doll is all ready, the pins are in so he should have a very unrestful night's sleep )
