Unfortunately Romina lost in the first qualifying round to unranked Frenchwoman Alexandra Gwizdowski 7-5, 1-6, 7-6[5]

Tara Wigan (804) vs Marcella Koek (NED) (8) (739)


Tara plays 8th seeded Dutchwoman in round one. Only 65 ranking spots away from a seeding and 2nd in line after the 8 seeds, so playing the 8th seed isn't a nightmare draw at all. Hopefully Tara is a dangerous floater this week!

Unlike Tara, Koek is yet to reach a quarter-final this year. She's been more consistent though, reaching rd2 lots of times.
