He's also theoretically back in the GB top 10 now, though Jamie Baker still has a chance of getting the no. 10 slot back. Both would need to win a main draw match to get back in the top 300.
Possible R1 opponents for Jonny are (4) Koubek, Carlsen (winner to play the winner of the Koubek v Q match), (7) Starace or Stakhovskiy (winner to play the winner of the starace v Q match)
I'd say Jonny definitely wants to avoid Koubek and Stakh, I think Starace's a clay-courter so that might be k. He also wants to avoid a centre court match, which I think he should do given those possible opponents.

Starace is WR 86 but this is a better draw than it looks because Starace is an out and out clay courter who has only played two matches OFF clay so far this year - R1 losses at Wimby and the USO hand hasn't played indoors since November 2004!
Not such good news in the doubles:
Jonny's playing with Lovro Zovko - they've got the no. 1 seeds in R1.
Aucks/Del are unseeded and face Slovak WCs Cervenak/Lacko in R1.
Jamie Murray is playing with Jordan Kerr again - they meet the no. 2 seeds in R1.
None of the Brits are due to play on Monday.

thats a good draw for jonny - best he could have hoped for in my opinion, and i reckon he's actually got a decent chance of making the quarters - we'll have to see!
Bladetiger wrote: This is a 100K, the pair that Jonny and Lvro are playing are one of the best in the world, with a joint ranking (rankings combined) of 35.
that is insane! with a couple of withdrawals, they may well end up playing in the masters cup!!! top 10 pairing in world!!
I agree, quarters are a definately possiblity here and that would see him back into the top 300 for sure. Boggo must be looking enviously at Jonny's draw, he's beaten the other seed in Jonny's section [Simon Greul] twice before.
Starace has won 2 challengers on the dirt this year. He won't be used to Jonny's net-rushing game and as we saw in Orleans this autumn, Jonny can trouble players the quality of Olivier Rochus when on form. Hopefully he gets put on court 3.
Lol @ the draw for Alex. Fate just seems to keep putting him against Sluiter. Although he lost last time in Kolding, Alex has been definately the better player in both their matches this autumn, he really let Sluiter off the hook in Kolding. If he can get through, good chance to make the quarters where Tipsarevic could be lying in wait. Alex may actually prefer centre against Sluiter
Jonny spoke to the LTA after qualifying, similar stuff to what Bladetiger posted earlier in this thread:
“It was a great end to a tough weekend,” Marray said.
“The courts here are unusual, the Centre Court is much slower than the others, so you have to adapt, but I’ve played pretty well so far and I'm looking forward to stepping it up again against Starace.”
Yeah, crazy doubles draws. I wouldn't be surprised if Murray and Kerr lost in rd1 aswell. David Skoch has won two ATP titles this year and his partner has also won 2 titles.
Aucks and Delgy should get through to the quarters but then they're likely to play 3rd seeds Coetzee and Wassen who are both in the top 50.
