RE: Shewsbury challenger

Maybe I won't be able to find out the Evans-Childs score so easily after all

I rang up the Shrewsbury tennis centre, asked for the tournament office and got put through to an LTA guy who seemed reluctant to help until I told him that I run alexbogdanovic.com and then he gave me the Boggo result.

He said that for scores and results, I need to speak to Amy Gaulton of the LTA and gave me a number.....

I rang that number and have just had a short and highly embarassing conversation with the Shrewsbury furniture centre.

That is hilarious.

But thanks for taking all this trouble for posting the scores, David. It's much appreciated.

Nice to see Boggo back to winning ways, lets hope Mac-king can join him in round 2.

You could say SOFA SO GOOD for the brits!

Apologies for the furniture pun.

Alex won 6-1, 6-2 !!!! That's impressive against a big server

Mackin won 6-4, 6-3

Childs beat Evans 6-3, 7-6[3]

It's gonna be tense over breakfast these next couple of days!

Think it could be a good deal closer than you expect.

It's sad that Boggo and Macca face off. Have to go for Boggo there, he seems to be great form.

Not a bad show by young Dan Evans. We all know what Childs can do on indoors. I hope that Evans will come to India in December. If things happen like last time around, he should be seeded with the ranking point of his.

yeah, i think it will be close, but i think alex will take it, his record vs brits is pretty good. unless alex has a mare, and maybe alan plays his best, but i dont think alan can out rally alex indoors, and dont think alan has a huge serve to trouble him. i assume theytrain together often which may have some bearing on it.
