as a side note alex wanted to play the maui challenger but wasnt allowed in as the SE rules didnt allow and wasnt offered a wc.

I'm surprised he was interested but I guess he's going to USA anyway. I think that means all British interest above futures level is over for the season

i think he wanted the points to try and make the ao cut, but didnt realise till too late to enter. i guess the cut would have been b4 he lost the 2 opening rounds v sluiter.
