sure there'll be withdrawals but u gotta lot of quliaty players there for a 25k!
on a side note, jamie baker down in alternates for naples (florida) that week. i think he should just cut his losses and come back home to play the futures and challgner in the UK!
The Shrewsbury field is really strong, but I reckon that on good form, Alex could take any of those guys apart from possibly Del Potro. Hopefully one of the top 8 will pull out so he gets seeded. Waske has been playing lots of matches lately and has been competing each week since September. Surely by the 3rd week in November he'll be getting tired and feeling like ending his season early particularly as we know how much he loves playing in front of GB challenger crowds
I'm hopeful that Martin Lee will get in via withdrawals so wildcards can go to: Goodall, Mackin, Marray and Auckland. Marray and Auckland may need a few wins to secure an end of season place in the top 300 and entry for AO qualies.
I was hoping that Jamie Baker would come back and play in the UK, he could have got to the latter stages of the two 15Ks and would have probably got a wildcard into Shrewsbury and then he could have finished the year with the Czech Republic 15K. Instead it looks like he's playing 4 more challengers in the USA to finish the year. Problem is, he's struggling for form and he's going to have to qualify for each one and he's got 8 points to defend from the GB 4 satellite in 2005 so he could do with making a quarter-final but that'll require winning possibly 5 matches.
However, hopefully he's gaining a lot from the experience and that getting used to playing in the States is helping his game and fitness and will have lots of long-term benefits. I think he's hoping to link up with Gilbert in December. I wonder if he's looking to find a permanent training base in the USA.

It'll be cool if you can go, would be great to read some info on the matches of Boggo, Mackin and of course, the legendary Slabba !
Hello! Rochelle, do you know whereabouts in Shrewsbury this is? I'm thinking I might be able to go on Monday or Tuesday but not too sure yet. Might possibly see you there...

hmm, i think its more down to ultimateshedman making a promise, and just us, being honest, upstanding members of society, making him stick to it.
