The Englishman was forced to turn down the offer of a wild card from tournament director Cedric Pioline last Friday.
It was a shame I had to say no, Henman continued. I would have loved to have gone back to Paris where I won the event in 2003 but the knee was too sore at that stage to say yes.

Very interesting, I think we all just assumed he hadn't been offered one when he wasn't in the draw.

Not a suprise really. As I'd think he'd turn it down having a bit of injury scare and all. As if he didn't get that injury in Basle I for one would've thought he'd be at Paris no question at all.
