0-15, didn't see that sorry. 0-30, df. choke!! 15-30, Aucks nets the returns. 30-30, a good exchange at the net, unfortunately it's S who takes the point. 30-40, return winner!! deuce, unreturnable. ad S (mp), unreturnable. game set and match, same again.
Aucks loses 63 62.
Strakhovsky has a very good serve on his day (i remember watching him in the Davis cup and thinking he looked like one for the future) and from the games i saw it looked like today was his day. not much Aucks could really do, hope he does better in the doubles!
Sorry my commentary doesn't come close to that of the Boggo match earlier, I thought it best not to even attempt it!

Thanks for trying anyway Imoen, it's great for those of us that hevnt the time to watch the whole game unfold to be able to see how the points develop and have some of the excitement of wondering who'll win the next point without the gaps between points, so thanks very much, it is appreciated!!

Thanks for the commentary Bethan, sounds like James' serve wasn't working well enough today and Stakhovsky just played the big points better It sounds as though it was closer than the score suggests, James must have had about 4 or 5 bps in that 2nd set but Stakhovsky just came up with the goods on each one
Stakhovksy certainly has a lot of flair and he's added a lot more consistency to his game since he made the USO juniors final plus his serve is now quite a potent weapon. The backhand does still have a tendency to go walkabout every so often.
