I think we are going to  need photographic evidence that the promise is kept UMF, perhaps a thread dedicated to it?

Perhaps a blog from the shed?

Funny old world these Challengers: We have results from Brazil before they arrive from Germany

Vicente beat Navarro-Pastor and moves out of Boggo's reach unless he makes the semis. At least Nav-Pas won't overtake:smile:. Roitman  also wins & moves further away.  Mello  is a set up against Alves .

More results from Brazil: Mello  beat Alves , Pashanski  wins & puts 10 points between himself & Alex Saretta  wins and Overtakes Boggo - hopefully this is temporary only!

In Germany, Zverev goes out while Korolev wins

I've updated the table for Boggo's win. He overtakes Saretta, Harfield & Economidis to go up to 119th ( 2 up on the week)

Gabashvili  overtakes & shoots off the top of the board. Roitman, Korolev, Schuettler, Pashanski, Vicente, Saretta and Mello  advance along with Alex

Only  Hartfield goes out

Two wins overnight . Muller  wins in Seoul and moves further out of Boggo's reach. Delic  wins in Louisville and onto the table.

Alex has now got his highest ever points haul.

Time for a what if post:

If Alex wins in Aachen, he can gain a further 20 places to rise to WR99

Gabashvili (R3, Paris), Pless (F, Rimouski), Roitman(F, Aracaju),Waske (F, Aachen), Muller(F, Seoul), Kendrick(W, Louisville), Pashanski and Vicente (W, Aracaju) could overtake, knocking him back a maximum of 7 places to WR106

If Alex reaches the final, he can gain 15 places to WR104

Pless (S, Rimouski), Roitman (S, Aracaju), Waske (S, Aachen), Korolev(S, Aachen), Muller(S, Seoul), Schuettler (S, Aachen), Kendrick (F, Louisville), Pashanski and Vicente (F, Aracaju), Saretta (W, Aracaju) could overtake, knocking him back a maximum of 9 places to WR113- still a new highest rank

If Alex reaches the semis, he can gain 7 places to WR112

Kendrick(Q, Louisville), Pashanski and Vicente (S, Aracaju), Saretta, (F, Aracaju) and Querrey (W, Seoul) can overtake, knocking him back a maximum of 4 places to WR116

If Alex loses in the Quarter final, he gains no more places. Saretta (S, Aracaju), Carlsen (W, Aachen), Delic (W, Louisville),  Querrey(W, Seoul),  Mello (W, Aracaju) can overtake, knocking him back a maximum of four places to 124th and a massive grievance with the world

So most to be gained from targetting Saretta, Pashanski and Vicente! Saretta and Pashanski play tonight, so if we're confident in Alex's prospects tomorrow, we'll want Saretta to win, then go out in the semis.

Carlsen and Mello go out

Saretta and Pashanski are still playing.........

Overnight scores:

Pashanski  beat  Saretta in Aracaju, so Alex is safe from Saretta should he lose today, but can no longer overtake Pashanski shoudl he win

Muller and Querrey both win in Seoul and storm up the table: Muller of fthe top, and Querrey to just 7 places behind Alex.

Pless wins in Rimouski, and edges forward one place.

Boggo, Schuettler, Waske and Korolev all play in different quarter- finals in Aachen. If Alex wins today, he'll move up four places. If he wins the semi, he'll overtake any of these others who happens to lose today.

Vicente and Pashanski play this evening in Brazil. Again, they need to lose if Boggo is to overtake. Kendrick, Pless, Querrey and Delic will play overnight in North America and Korea.

Waske beat Del Potro which will send him off the top of the table.

Korolev has to be favourite against Wang but Sluiter should probably beat Schuettler

If Sluiter loses than I'll spend an extra 5 days in the shed. I'm v confident that he'll beat Schuettler, even tho Schuettler is in his home town.

Hopefully Wang can upset Korolev, it'll be good for Alex's ranking aswell as making things easier for him to reach the final.

Korolev struggled last night against Zverev so there is hope.

You might want to stop and think before making any more statements like this unless you don't ever want to move back into the house. Sluiter lost in straight sets. So 45 nights it is (only 43 to go).
