Thanks Greenleaf - I thought I'd got all the zero pointers, and I went & missed Tim's.
That takes him up to 34th place in the rankings, on 900 points!
Hrbaty, Wawrinka, Gaudio, Vliegen, Chela, Clement, Simon and Santoro drop places because of points they are defending from last year. Safin and Moya join Tim in climbing places as their zero- pointers drop off.
Edit: added Gaudio to the list dropping down: his 200 masters cup points fall off this week. Edit 2: Volandri is no longer playing, so doesn't drop places when his 18th score is replaced. Melzer was not defending a zero- pointer as previously stated.

Unfortunately Tim is unlikely to stay at 34th this week. It's such a shame Paris didn't give him a wildcard (although I do understand why) as he is at the mercy of those behind him and so is likely to lose at least a few places. Oh well. Hopefully he doesn't drop out of the top 40 as that he definitely does not deserve.

Unfortunately that means that Volandri moves back to 34th, and Tim goes down to 35th. (To explain: while Volandri was taking part, his 18th score (15 points) was no longer counted and was replaced with the 5 points he'd get for the first round in a masters event. Net result = 10 points lost. As he's pulled out, he doesn't lose those points. Had he been in the top 32 - the direct entry list, he would have lost that result and gained a 0 for the tournament, but as he was on the ALTs list he doesnt lose out.
I thought that once the entry list for a Grand Slam comes out, the seeds can't change, only the order they will be seeded. Someone who knows the ranking system better should tell me if i am correct.
