A long game, with Tim coming back from 40-15 and saving several match points; an argument with the umpire over one of his shots called out (and on the replay I have to say it looked in), but Wawrink finally serves it out and takes the decider 6-4. And now I have to run to the kitchen, there is a smell of burning (again!)
Tim seemed to move awkwardly in that game and hurt an ankle; he didn't stop playing but is hobbling a bit.
bbc r5 report says tim is hobbling badly serving at 4-4 15-30 ?
He was hobbling badly when it first happened, but seemed to recover quickly. His loss of serve in the next game did not seem to be because of difficulty in movement but because of an inability to keep the ball in the lines - although as I said earlier, one of the "out" calls looked to be in on replay. The quality of the livestream is not too good however, so I would not like to swear to that. Certainly in the last game he seemed to be moving very well, just got outplayed.
I started watching halfway through the second set, and it seems Tim went downhill from then on. . . how much are you all prepared to pay me not to watch any more matches?
