No. He needs another win here. That will also almost ensure an entry into the Australian Open and take him ahead of Graeme Dyce.

Dyce plays in a G2 next week and a G4 the week after.

I reckon that we have the battle for the British number one on our hands!

note - if you are like me and dislike it when people don't use capital letters, forgive me because my keyboard isn't working properly.

In the juniors, dont they have a cut-off for juniors to play in GS. at the us open I remember Naomi was ranked in the 40s and was direct acceptance but curtis had to qualify because she was ranked in the 80s. isnt that the same the boys? So Cox cannot have direct acceptance in the AO by right but he eligible to qualify, unless he does well at the orange bowl.

yes, 48 direct entrants. you can't say what the cut off for the australian open juniors will be right now because all the over age players will not be allowed to play.

the year before last it was 125.

orange bowl points don't count as far as i know. it ends at eddie herr.

Also, I expect that there will be quite a few withdrawals from the original entry list for AO juniors if the seniors list is anything to go by ! It's good that there will be competition for the British no 1 spot, hopefully that will push both of them on to greater heights. It'd be good if Evans and Milton can join them in the top 100 sometime next year.

It's weird how Cox and Milton are doing so well at singles but they've barely had a win in doubles on this tour, maybe they both have work to do on their net games.

Is Cox/Milton entered for a junior tournament next week or will they be going back to GB to prepare for Redbridge ?
