The table's updated after Tim's victory. Unfortunately Almagro won in Lyon R2, and overtakes .Acasuso and Gineprialso advance. Volandri, Simon & Mayer are knocked out.
Wawrinka and Calleri are in a first set tiebreak right now (Wawrinka needs to lose this round!). Ram- Ham is at 1-1 in the 3rd set against Feli Lopez. Hrbaty's just started against Gicquel. Mirnyi is playing Tursunov right now (and for Andy's sake, we'll hope he wins this round.)
With all matches over for the day, the table's updated again.
All in all it's not gone too badly. Hrbaty, Ram- Ham and Calleri go out as does Massu, and Mirnyi's taken out Tursunov for Andy. The big worry is that Wawrinka will overtake if he progresses further than Tim in Basle.
Over to Bethan to let us know what all todays changes mean to Tim's ranking chances!
Well, now Tim has lost here's a look at what can happen to his ranking.
First off, Wawrinka and Almagro have both overtaken.
Of the threats, Melzer, Benneteau, Massu, Simon, Fish, Santoro, Ramirez Hidalgo, Mathieu, Mayer, Kohlschreiber, Becker and Mirnyi are all OUT.
Leaving, Malisse (1), Clement (3), Ginepri (3), Srichaphan (3). The number in brackets is the number of matches each player must WIN to overtake.
Of those four, Malisse and Ginepri meet next round (which we therefore want Ginepri to win) so a maximum of three more people can overtake. Leaving Tim with a best case of 38 in the rankings (rise of 1) and a worst case of 41 (drop of 2).
Not too bad really given the list of threats at the beginning of the week, get those pins out for the last few though

Clement' s taken the first set from Gasquet with a double fault in the breaker!
2-2 in the second..........................
Meanwhile, Srichaphan is out, having taken Fed to three sets, Malisse and Wawrinka are also out, while Gicquel is positioning himself well to overtake with a run at Paris next week.
