Post 1 I realise who's serving in the Brizzi match doesn't make sense now, but not sure whether he meant *2-3 or *3-2, if you see what I mean!
Then post 2
Court by court:
(8) Vico (ITA) v Mackin (GBR) 2-6 1-3* - wow! (WC) Delgado (GBR) v Tourte (FRA) 4-4* (Q) Brizzi (ITA) v (LL) Cervenak (SVK) 7-6(.) 3-3* - maybe the server is right after all Prpic (SWE) v (Q) Sirianni (AUS) - warming up
Results:
Robert (FRA) beat Cipolla (ITA) 6-2 6-0 - Robert plays (6) Lu (TPE) in R2 (3) Economidis (GRE) beat (WC) Hewitt (GBR) 6-0 6-2 - Economidis plays Snobel (CZE) in R2 (1) Pless (DEN) beat Summerer (GER) 7-6(5) 6-4 (5) Carlsen (DEN) beat (WC) Marray (GBR) 7-5 7-6(5) (6) Lu (TPE) beat (Q) Desein (BEL) 6-? 6-3 (?) - Lu plays Robert (FRA) in R2
Bladetiger confirms that Lu won but he isn't sure of the score.
I'm getting these scores texted in the form server initials + score in set by the way, e.g. am 31 means Mackin 3-1 up in the 2nd and about to serve. It may mean the odd mistake creeps in temporarily (either mine or blade's), but if so it's likely to get corrected on the next post and we're trying to make absolutely sure we don't report a set winner wrong. "
Wow, what a win for Mackin !!! I bet Mike Raphael is pleased !
Great chance for him to make the quarters now. Shame about Jonny's result but Carlsen does play mainly on the ATP tour and maybe that extra experience enabled him to nick it.
Grrrr, Jamie was a break up earlier in that set. He can beat Tourte, hopefully he'll come back and do it in 3.
Mackin (GBR) beat (8) Vico (ITA) 6-2 6-3 - brilliant! (Q) Smit (NED) v (4) Waske (GER) on next
(WC) Delgado (GBR) v Tourte (FRA) 5-7 0-0* (Q) Brizzi (ITA) v (LL) Cervenak (SVK) 7-6(.) 3-3* - maybe the server is right after all - no update this time Prpic (SWE) v (Q) Sirianni (AUS) - warming up
(Q) Smit (NED) v (4) Waske (GER) 0-1* (WC) Delgado (GBR) v Tourte (FRA) 5-7 4-4* - Jamie broke for 3-2 then was immediately broken back (Q) Brizzi (ITA) v (LL) Cervenak (SVK) 7-6(.) ?-6 3-4* Prpic (SWE) v (Q) Sirianni (AUS) - he can't see the court from where he is
Results:
Robert (FRA) beat Cipolla (ITA) 6-2 6-0 - Robert plays (6) Lu (TPE) in R2 (3) Economidis (GRE) beat (WC) Hewitt (GBR) 6-0 6-2 - Economidis plays Snobel (CZE) in R2 (1) Pless (DEN) beat Summerer (GER) 7-6(5) 6-4 (5) Carlsen (DEN) beat (WC) Marray (GBR) 7-5 7-6(5) (6) Lu (TPE) beat (Q) Desein (BEL) 6-? 6-3 (?) - Lu plays Robert (FRA) in R2 Mackin (GBR) beat (8) Vico (ITA) 6-2 6-3

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
That was a called through update from Bladetiger who's now got to go away for about an hour because he's booked a court to play a match with his son, who's with him today. Normal service will be resumed in about an hour.
(he says sorry about that, but hopefully you lot need a break too )
Also, his friend was told by Jamie D that Arvind Parmar has retired, and he didn't get the impression it was supposed to be still a secret.
I guess with an injury at the moment and all those Rotterdam points to defend early next year, it's not the biggest surprise ever.
