Re yesterday's news: I'm gutted for Martin Lee Injuries strike again, hopefully it's just a sprain he picked up in training and had to withdraw as a precaution. He's got a week to rest it before the Seoul challenger which he's playing next week. He needs some good results in November as he's got lots to defend from the 2005 GB 4 satellite.
Super win for Bloomers He's probably got Mertl, the 7th seed in rd2, very good chance for Richard to make the quarters here.

(d'you think Boggo's taken him to one side and told him how to build up a false sense of security in your opponent by losing the first few games in a match? "When I was playing Sluiter.......")
Economdis has given him a harsh lesson today in what he needs to do to become a top 150 player, hopefully he can learn lots from the experience. It'll be interesting to hear what Bladetiger makes of Hewitt this evening.
Looks like the Marray-Carlsen match is very close. Both are serve-volleyers, I wouldn't be surprised if it's decided by tiebreaks. I'd say that Carlsen has the better serve but Jonny is better from the baseline.

(1) Pless (DEN) v Summerer (GER) 7-6(5) 0-0* (WC) Marray (GBR) v (5) Carlsen (DEN) 5-7 0-0* (Q) Brizzi (ITA) v (LL) Cervenak (SVK) on next (Q) Desein (BEL) v (6) Lu (TPE) - warming up
Apparently Jonny M had been looking the more likely to break all the way through and hadn't had any break points against him, then at 5-6, Carlsen hit 3 good winners and at 30-40 Jonny netted a volley.
Given that these updates are so frequent, would one of you be willing to check on the Rusedski message board and copy and paste the updates in here? They'll probably appear here a few seconds quicker that way.
