RE: Nottingham 25K+H Challenger

By the way Bladetiger and steven, I can't remember if I've posted this before in this thread but, you're both legends doing this scores service from the challenger

Latest:

If Richard defending any points this week ?

No, but he's got 18 SKW Future points coming off in 2 weeks time.

MTF banned me because earlier this year I did a Murray quiz on this site and I pmmed all the Murray fans on there about it, unfortunately I made the mistake of accidentally pmming the admin who promptly banned me.

LOL - actually, I kept meaning to send my answers to that excellent quiz to you, I don't think I ever did.

Hopefully Steven remembers to turn his mobile on to receive the Tiger's texts

Don't worry, the only reason I turned it on late yesterday was that I didn't know that MJD was going to be texting scores.

Thanks for lifting them off MTF today - just came in here to check that someone was! I've got a very busy day today and MTF is the quickest place to type frequent updates into (no need to put in your name as on the GRMB, no need to wait for the reply box to be ready as on here - not usually a problem, but it is when you;re tryign to do everything very fast!), so it's easiest if I just do them on there and then they get relayed by other people.

Sadly Lacko is fighting back, took a 5-2 2nd set lead.

Mackin has saved 2 bps to make it 3-5 so Lacko is now serving for the set. Hopefully he gets tight

6-3, 3-5*

ATP has no info on him, not even his birthdate! According to the ITF he was born in November 87, so is 18 nearly 19.

LOL, at least Tsonga beat the Brits fair and square in straights. This guy gives them leads and then comes back to win in 3 which is all the more infuriating

LOL. Jezzauk once famously said that if there was an inaugural satellite on the moon, you could bet your house that Mackin would be in the field

I remember that! it wasn't me though, it was j-sto on btz talking about, funnily enough a previous nottingham challenger:

Big surprise not to see Alan Mackin in the line up. Though perhaps the inaugural satellite on, erm, the moon (the original satellite of course!) has something to do with it!

He's definitely past those days though it seems, which is a very good thing.

2 more chances at most now for Mackin to break back:

6-3, 3-6, 3-4*

LOL

I think you were responsible though for perhaps one of the best quotes ever posted on a tennis forum:

"I think that at the start of each tournament the LTA ought to lock all the Brits up in a room, fill it with Union Jacks and make them sing the National Anthem, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory. Then show them photos of their opponents and make them growl at them for half an hour !"

And also...Mike Raphael on how to improve British tennis "The LTA needs to work out what these top guys are taking and then give it to our players."
