RE: Nottingham 25K+H Challenger

We have a Brit in the quarters:

R Bloomfield [GB] bt J Mertl [Cze][7] 7-5, 4-6, 6-1

Fantastic win for Richard, he is on fire right now, some superb performances in the past 3 weeks. Waske is up next and I make Richard the favourite on current form.

Mackin - Vacek: 6-4, 4-6, *2-0

Go Mackin !!!

Thanks for posting the stuff I'm putting on MTF, UBF. Is goslabs really not you?

great win for bloomers! despite his good form though, waske will be a very tough proposition and is in decent nick himself - his last 2 tournies have seen him reach the kolding sf's and the third round of the tokyo atp! however i think richard will sneak it in 3!

go mac king! his transformation from claycourt satellite grinder in outer mongolia to consistent indoor carpet / hard court challenger maestro has been sensational!

Fantastic stuff from King Mac. The quarters beckon, and with that the top 300. Getting closer to his end of season goal of the top 250.

No steven, goslabs is not me. I can't tell you my MTF name as they might discover and ban me again.

He's doing a good job of advertising your sites then.

Why did MTF ban you?

' Back into' ? This will be a CB wont it.

I asked him this week and he excpected to be top 200 if he won today, so I hope he's right, very tough game tomorrow against another in form player, would be a smashing win if he could pull it off!

Well yes and no! His career high is 200, which strictly is in the top 200! but not in the hundreds!

If Richard defending any points this week ?

If not I make it that he has 203 points which will move him up to 196 approx.

MTF banned me because earlier this year I did a Murray quiz on this site and I pmmed all the Murray fans on there about it, unfortunately I made the mistake of accidentally pmming the admin who promptly banned me.

Superb wins yesterday for Mackin and Bloomers. I make that he'll move up from 301 to 286 if he loses today and if he wins he's guaranteed to move up to 270.

Hopefully Mackin can give that Lacko a lickin' today. They've never played before. I don't know why all the Brits are having so much trouble with him this week, he's got a decent serve but no real weapons from the baseline, just very solid and plays with a high intensity moving his opponents around the court. However, having said that. I've just seen on the ITF that he made the Binghamton challenger final in August.

It'll be the first meeting for Waske and Bloomers aswell. Mike Raphael on Waske: He has a really big serve, keeps the rallies very short and can be tricky to face as he's quite unpredictable, doesn't give you a rhythm from the baseline - 3 or 4 shots into a rally, he'll suddenly launch into a massive forehand which either goes for a winner or flies long. On return he pushes lots of his shots, just waiting for you to go for too much and make an error, he stays very passive. That's his big weakness, if he was most aggressive on his opponent's service games, he could be top 50. Lost to Llodra in Kolding semis last week, 10-8 in a 3rd set tiebreak.

Hopefully Steven remembers to turn his mobile on to receive the Tiger's texts

LOL. Jezzauk once famously said that if there was an inaugural satellite on the moon, you could bet your house that Mackin would be in the field
