No, it's just after a lifetime of following british tennis and sheffield united, I get very edgy when people start assuming victory before the tournament's even started.
Got to say also that having met Uros, he is a really funny guy, and very popular oon the tour, but will still be rooting for Boggo tomorrow. (phnarr phnarr)
Lol I know what you mean and Vico did have a really great win in rd1 over Zib who's a very good player indoors.
As most of us have never seen Vico in action before, what's his game like ? Serve-volleyer, baseline, all-court player ? What are his main weapons ? He must be quite a big hitter or very, very fast to beat Baghdatis
He's comfortable coming in to the net, quite a decent serve, pretty powerful forehand.
The biggest thing with him is he blows very hot and cold, so can beat Baghdatis one week and then lose to Miles Kasiri the next (which he did last autumn in Southampton and sunderland).
He can even be spectacularly good and bad in the same game (sounds a bit like Boggo) so he's always a dangerous opponent.
He actually lost in the semi's of Junior Wimbledon to Federer several years ago, so he's pretty comfortable on fast surfaces.
I spoke to James Auckland about him and he said he doesnt like playing him because when he's starts losing he gets really mad and starts shouting at people, the umpire, his opponent & himself and its difficult to keep your concentration, he beat Aucks at Wrexham I think the day after I spoke to him.
I still expect Boggo to beat him having said all that, and it could be very easy if Vico's brain is elsewhere, or it could be a real tough game.
As this is a 'disposable' thread, maybe you could copy this across to the Boggo v Vico thread?
