Safin, having won the first set, has been pegged back by Acasuso: It's 1-0 Safin, with serve in the third.


Benneteau also won the first set, but it looks like Nalbandian's woken from his stupor, and has taken the second 6-2. 0-0 in the third.....

Another good day for Tim,


Fish and Srichaphan both went out today, leaving only Ginepri and Safin who can overtake.


Safin is currently a set and a break up to Baghdatis so it looks like he's going through. Not been the best of days to be a seed really.


This means Tim's worst case ranking is now a drop of two to 39.

Safin won! However, if Tim win against Nalby, then he will certainly rise higher and edging towards the top 32

So that's Tim out for another week. Maybe in Paris............


He's at 38th, up 3 on the week. Could go down to 39th if Ginepri makes the final.

Only if he gets a wildcard, as his ranking was too low to gain direct entry.

The table's updated for the last time. Both Safin & Ginepri go out. Tim ends the week at 38th - up 3 from 41st on Monday.
