OK, so he lost the first set, but no need to panic! His proven tactic of alllowing his opponent an apparent advantage before stealing the lead. Clearly Tipsarevic is a better player than yesterday, so a bigger lead needs to be sacrificed for this tactic to work.

Quick update after set 2 (I am watching on RTBF Sat)

Tipsy often outmanoeuvred Alex in Set 1 with controlled aggression (20 winners to 8 UEs - Alex had 18/12), but lost his concentration at the start of set 2, donating the 2nd game with 4UEs - and game 4 wasn't much better. The set 2 stats are:

Alex 14/3 ! (winners/UEs)
