Henman lost the first set 6-3.....only one break but never had a sniff at Fed's serve.....
The tail of the tape is in the stats.....Henman won only 19 of 50 points and had three double faults....I wonder what his first serve % was at....
Tim has to really pick up his game in the second set....or Fed has to find that rusty spot again after taking his break.....
The last thing Tim needs is to be broken and the first game of the second set he is facing two break points....
He saved the first....Saved the second.....wow....if he can hold here that would be a shot in the arm....coz you know if he was broken it would be over....
Now 1-1, but at least Tim got to 30 on Fed's serve that game....
0-15
15-15
Knowing what this would do to Tim's ranking etc.....you'd think if these two really were such good friends Fed would like you know.....I mean after all he has beat him so bad recently....Indian Wells Final....US Open Semi and then at both Wimbledon and the US Open this year.....
No, I'm in the UK, woke up early to watch the live streaming on Betfair.
Tim didn't play badly at all - shades of vintage Henman at times, and he had the only game plan he was ever going to have a chance with, getting in whenever he could.
That 3 df game killed him though and after that, it was never really a contest.
As you say though, a brilliant week.
