Pless hold to love for 2-1. Quite a lot of second serves though.


 


Just looking at stats for MacKin(g)


His second serve let him down big time. Won 6 of 23 points on it. Big pity.

Pless although Danish, lives in Dubai. He was a number 7 junior player,


Who reached number 9 in ATP rankings in Jan  2001.


Now at 110 he is a regular on ATP Tour


 


Since August he’s been a bit patchy. Losing in qualifying of Canada and Cincinatti to Rajeev Ram and Victor Troicki


 


He qualified for the US Open beating Galimberti, Bohli and Levy and beat Alberto Martin in main draw before bowing out to Roddick.


 


He lost easily to Kevin Kim 62 64 in Beijing.


 


He beat Denis Gremelmayr in Mumbai but lost to eventual champion Tursunov in three sets


 


In Tokyo he beat Rik De Voest 63 64 before losing to Hyung Taik Lee in round 2.


 


So he’s got good pedigree, good form, though patchy and I’m delighted to see Jonny M keeping up with him so well.
