Am I right in thinking that in the men's game, you only get ranking points if you actually qualify, save for Master's and Slams? Always seems very harsh to get beat two challenger level opponents, with potentially no reward if you lose in final qualifying... doesn't exactly encourage folks to try and qualify for ATP vs enter main draw of challengers....
you are correct 10 pts if you qualify. 700 euros for those who win two matches and about 400-500 for those win 1.
at least the money is a reward. I've thought that this lack of qualifying points is particluary harse for future events, especially when there's 4+ q rounds.
