A few years ago Petzschner really shot up the rankings into the 200s and was regarded as the next big thing for German tennis, however since then he's stalled in singles but has developed into a classy doubles player. It's a fast surface in Stockholm and he would have been attacking the net a lot so Mackin's returning must have been impressive.

Am I right in that rd2 qualies is tomorrow or is it later today ?

A pretty good set of results given it's an ATP just a same Josh couldn't make it 4/4.

Good luck to the others in rd2.

So we have still 3/4 Brits fighting for a main draw place....well here is the players they could meet.......

Nadals top half....

Marc Gicquel or Nieminen(5)

Blakes btm half....

Jonas Bjorkman or (wc) Andreas Vinciguerra

So could be worse.....all they have to do is win 2 more matches !!!

James Auckland plays local boy Jacob Adaktusson, who is the 7th seed ranked at 244. He has never won a match on the main tour though and if James plays like he did at Mumbai i think he might sneak it.... THIS MATCH IS ON SECOND ON CENTRE COURT. 12PM BST perhaps?

Mackin is on straight after this match and he plays another home favourite Filip Prpic who is the 8th seed ranked 245. Probably about 1.30pm BST..

Marray should be on court at the same time on court 1. He has the toughest match playing Peter Luczak of Australia who is the 5th seed ranked at 157 (peaked at 110 last year). Could be a tough one...

If all things go as the seedings dictate we'll have no players left but i think we have a decent chance at one getting through...who knows maybe all will?

Adaktusson has had a mixed year. The Swede has played 3 ATP qualies in a row before Stockholm and he's lost in all of them. He's had some good results in South American challengers, making 4 quarters plus a quarter-final in Dublin. He qualified for the Aussie Open this year before losing in straights to Sanguinetti in rd1. Against Brits this year, he's beaten: Cox, Smith [twice], Fleming, Sherwood and Flanagan but has lost to Mackin and Goodall.

Mackin and Prpic have played once before, on clay in 2003. Prpic won 2-6, 7-5, 6-2. The Swede is ranked 244 but has been in the top 200 earlier this year. He won the Lanzarote challenger beating Bloomfield along the way and has made 3 challenger quarters and a futures final in Bath. He's lost to Jamie Delgado and Jamie Baker [on grass] this year.

Luczak reached a high of 110 in 2005. He made a promising start to 2006, beating Malisse in Sydney and reaching rd3 of the Aussie Open [beating Minar and Rochus before losing to Haas in 4 sets] and he also beat Tursunov in Las Vegas and reached the quarters of the Joplin challenger. However, since then he's had a bit of a lean spell apart from qualifying for a couple of ATPs.
