Tim served at 89% in the second set winning 15 of 17 points
won 50% of Mario's second serve points and over 50% on Mario's first serve!
Incredible tennis!
Wow, that is pretty awesome, probably one of the best matches of Tim's career. Over the entire match he served at 84% I don't think he's ever served as well as that.
To win over 50% of the pts on the Ancic 1ST serve is just amazing, not even Federer does that. If Tim had played Roger today on this form, I think Tim would have won.
Wow, not long after the match had started (I think it was 6 minutes in), Henman had lost the opening game, and was 0-40 down on his own serve. I wasn't able to follow the match, and when I next checked the scoreboard about an hour later, the game was finished and he'd won 6-2 6-2! It's great to see Tim regain form, and hopefully he may decide to play Davis Cup again...
HT Lee in the semis. great chance of making the final.
Yeah definately, great chance. When was the last time Tim made an ATP final ? Am I correct in that he's not been that far since 2004 ? Was the Paris masters series win in 2003, his last title ?
Henman's got a winning record against Lee aswell
Lee's been on incredible form this week, though: beating Tursunov & Robredo to get to the semis... won't be easy.
Yep, a very good chance. Hopefully he can make it 4 out of 4 against Lee and give him what he deserves this week for being on this kind of form, an appearance in a final against his good mate Federer more than likely.
Mind you both players have been on some form this week and it could be a good match between Henman and Lee.

From listening to his interview after beating Boggo last week, that doesn't sound likely. I think Tim feels that it's time to let the younger players come through, he said that he feels that Boggo will be a key part of futures DC teams.
I don't think a Euro-African zone tie will particularly tempt him. If we get back into the world group for 2008 and Tim's still playing, I think that might tempt him into a return.

Didn't Tim leave the DC team during his poor run of form, which caused him to fall sharply down the rankings? If so, then leaving when he did was a good time, but now that he's starting to come good again, I think it would be a good time to return. Even if he doesn't play on the Friday (Murray and Boggo) or Saturday (Murray/Murray), and is just kept for the final match on a Sunday, if the tie is still in the balance at 2-2.
Surely if he beats Lee in the semis and gets to the final he'll be able to get Direct entry to the Master Series events in Paris and Madrid instead of having to qualify?

The problem is that it is not his ranking NOW that matters, but what his ranking was 6 weeks before the tournaments when the entry lists were made. Both Masters are 48 draws, and by the time you make space for wild cards and qualifiers, there are only about 38 or 39 direct entries.
Tim would either have to qualify or ask for a wild card.
