A shame that Martin wasn't able to build on that 2nd set but still a great effort against a player ranked 98 in the world who's especially tough to face indoors with his massive leftie serve and accurate volley game.
Wow, great news! Looks like Richard is pretty much carrying the flag alone this week after Marray's exit today and Martin Lee's defeat yesterday.
Any idea how Lee got on in the doubles or if they are still on court?

It was the Bloomfield big serve which arguably saw him through in the end, he powered down 25 aces to just 4 from Lacko !!!! He served at 59%, winning 55/67 pts on 1st serve but just 19/46 on 2nd serve which suggests that Richard's difficulties came when he got into the baseline rallies with Lacko. In the 1st set, he won just 3 pts on his 2nd serve, this improved quite a bit for Richard as the match went on though. Lacko won 52/77 pts on 1st serve and 19/34 on 2nd serve.
In the 1st set Richard took his only break point chance but Lacko broke twice more to take the set. Both players had 1 bp in the 2nd set but both missed it. Lacko took his only bp opportunity in the 3rd set but Richard took 2 of his 5 bps.
Hopefully Richard can keep this great form going, he's played Germany's Dominic Meffert once before, in Orleans last month. Richard beat Arazi in 3 sets in rd1 but Meffert then beat him 6-3, 6-3.
Meffert then went on to lose in 3 to Dick Norman in the quarters. Since then he's lost in rd1 of Grenoble and in Mons challenger qualifying. Meffert beat 6th seed Mathieu Montcourt in rd1, 6-4, 7-6[4]. He isn't a particularly big server, Parmar says that he has quite a weak 2nd serve which he was able to attack when they played in Rotterdam earlier this year.
Richard's match started 11.50 BST Richard Bloomfield (GBR) vs Dominik Meffert (GER) 2-0 (15-30) and guess what! - The scoreboard has stopped once again - it is next to useless!
Grrrrrr, well at least we know that Richard got off to a great start. Quite often indoors it's a case of 1 break to Bloomers, set over so hopefully that'll happen today.
