I can't see Myles beating Miles Armstrong unfortunately. Armstrong is ranked quite a bit lower but he reached the Aussie F9 final last week.
Haybittel is Australian, that's a mistake from TA/steveg/ATP.
Matosevic is ranked higher than Chris at 704 but given Chris' recent form I reckon that he'll win that one and gain another point. Matosevic has lost his last 4 matches, the highlights of his year have been making the semis of one of the futures in Australia and the quarters of 2 futures in Thailand. I've incidentally just noticed that one of Chris' hobbies is kickboxing !
Cerretani is ranked 645, good chance for Andy to win, before the qualies in this tournament he'd lost his last 6 matches. The highlight of his year has been finishing runner-up in a futures in Greece, he lost to Jonny Marray. However, apart from that he's been losing in rd1 and rd2 for the rest of the year
Myles vs Miles is our only chance now. Despite doing well last week Armstrong is still ranked over 300 places lower than Blake so maybe experience will tell.
And I've just noticed the womens torunament is a 25K.
Fletcher was unranked on the drawsheet but according to ITF reached 841 in July last year. Must have been out injured. She's 20 years old and lists clay as her preferred surface.
Myles vs Miles is our only chance now. Despite doing well last week Armstrong is still ranked over 300 places lower than Blake so maybe experience will tell.
Those are pretty disappointing results, Kennaugh's form has really tailed off in the 2nd half of the year
I'm not particularly hopeful for the battle of the Miles'. Armstrong was on fire last week
Matt Ebden/Brydan Klein (AUS) d. Myles Blake/Todd Ley (GBR/AUS) 6-2 6-2 (4)Chris Eaton/Andrew Kennaugh (GBR) d. Eric Hechtman/David Jeflea (USA/AUS) 6-2 7-6(4)
Next up is (WC)Greg Jones/Joel Lindner (AUS) Good chance for a doubles QF to pay for them being there!
