In rd2 tomorrow [the final qualies round] Anna faces Adriana Serra Zanetti who beat the 13th seed 6-4, 7-5. Adriana reached a high of 38 in the world in 2002 but due to injury she's now dropped to 1187. She's now 30. Incidentally she's double-handed off both sides.
She returned to action in August but has lost 4 out of her 5 matches.
She is incredibly consistent at her best, Baltacha played her once and after losing in 3 sets described her opponent as a "bloody pain in the arse"

When did Bally play Adriana? I know she played Antonella last year in Orange, but WTA doesn't list any meetings between Bally and Adriana.
(1) Renata Voracova CZE v WC Stephanie Vongsouth FRA Qualifier v Ana Timotic SCG WC Estelle Guisard FRA v Iryna Kuryanovich BLR Qualifier v (5) Selima Sfar TUN
(4) Virginie Pichet FRA v Ekaterina Makarova RUS WC Julie Herve FRA v SE Amanda Keen GBR Qualifier v Qualifier Qualifier v (8) Eva Hrdinova CZE
(7) Giulia Gabba ITA v Lina Stanciute LIT Jane O'Donoghue GBR v Qualifier Gaelle Widmer SUI v Florence Haring FRA Qualifier v (3) Melanie South GBR
(6) Ana Vrljic CRO v Meilyne Andrieux FRA Aurelie Vedy v Qualifier Julie Coin FRA v WC Anne-Laure Heitz FRA Rebecca Llewellyn GBR v (2) Petra Cetkoyska CZE
Mel and Jane both have qualifiers so they should win but it may prove a little difficult as qualifiers have already won 2 matches on the surface. Mel could do with a couple of wins her to get back in form, however if she gets through to rd2, she could face the on-form Florence Haring which would be tough.
Amanda has a fairly easy draw, her 16 year old opponent is unranked in both seniors and juniors and has lost all 4 of the matches she's played on the senior tour.
Rebecca has by far and away the most difficult draw
Anna Smith faces 7th seed Giulia Gabba of italy in R2. Ranked 219 its the sort of opponent Anna is aspiring to become in the next 6 months. Lets hope she can grind out another win!
