Etzel is a German clay-courter, currently ranked 442 [peaked at 376 in Dec 05]. Her best result this year has been reaching a 10K semi on Belgian clay. I'd expect Sarah to win this one but it may prove trickier than the stats suggest as the tournament is being held on the dreaded Spanish red dirt which has proved to be the bete noire of so many Brits.
