that really is an incredible result. he didn't face a break point in the entire match against a top 100 player -
think if henman, for example, played someone outside the top 400 you wouldn't give them a chance in hell unless henman was injured so this result really is fantastic!
Really encouraging - at the start of the year if you were to say 5 male Brits would reach ATP singles quarters you'd have been quite surprised. And you definately wouldn't have picked the 5 that actually have !!
That is pretty good. Didnt realise actually that Greg hasnt made an appearance in the Quarters. We should be doing that every year - and hopefully now we will.
Noticed BBC still havent put anything up. My bet is they wont till about 19:00. Any other takers?
Fantastic win. I am so pleased for James. I don't give him any chance against Tursonov, but it was a great win today and to combine that with a good run in doubles it has to be the best week in his career.
As far as I know last year Auckland didn't play doubles the rest of the year after the Orleans Challenger 05 which started on the 11 September.
Whereas Delgado was playing a Grenoble challenger which started on the 26th of September where he partnered Vacek and went out in the 1st round so he only got 1 point.
So far as I'm aware of they'll be gaining all the entry the points they get here in Mumbai except for maybe Delgado whose might be -1.
I'll try and calculate their points and where they may be if they lose in the SF, lose in the F or win it if no one else does.
