RE: Just wondering..

Right so.. the 2nd poll is closed...

Europe
87.5%
North America
0.0%
South America
12.5%
Asia
0.0%
Africa

So Europe it is

Would be appreciative if you send to me what country in Europe you want me to be from in a Private Message, if you don't mind folks

I'll edit this post a bit later to put in what kind of player you can be.. As i'll make it 2 questions at once.

I've pmmed you my choice of country

I'd like your player to have a double-handed backhand, he'll then be more solid on that side. Single-handers are more flashy but tend to result in more errors

Hmmm, tough choice on the style of player. I'm torn between power serves and hard hitter. I'll go for power serves.

I'm voting for a serve and volleying scouser called Barry Cowan......

Not really. All round good player from Britain. Good serve and sweet one handed backhand for lots of winners!

Cheers for all those who replied to their PMs and johnnylad who posted. If you have not PMed or posted in here I'll give you another few days to get them in.

As the country selection is pretty unanimous and more than likely the player will be from GB. So I might take those people who voted for Gb and gave me a name and maybe put them in a hat and draw them out? Or just do it for all of them?

What do you think people?

So if things go to plan, this should started next Monday by the very earliest to my closest estimates.

I think it would be fairest to put all the names in a hat and draw out the winner

Right... Bit of a delay n that here.. Got a few things on-going atm.. Try and do the draw of the names by Saturday/Sunday at the very latest. Problem will be more than likely trying to find a hat

That avatar is Gulbis of Latvia. He just lost to Ancic in the semis of St Petersburg. I watched it on Eurosport 2. His game a bit like Safin with a tiny bit of Murray! His serve is powerful, once it hit an ace at 198km at 18 years of age! His forehand is good, he always aims to hit his forehand with more topspin and most of the time crosscourt. However, like Murray's, his backhand is awesome, its more powerful than the forehand and it did gave Ancic some problems. Gulbis also likes to go for a lot of dropshots! At one point, Gulbis hit an serve down the T, Ancic return to the forehand side of Gulbis, in which he attempted a dropshot, but Ancic was there in time to hit a backhand down the line, Gulbis responded in disgust by hitting his racket on the court!(just like murray!)
