RE: ATP Vienna

vilgen is playing at around 8pm tonight so most likely his match tomorrow would also be an evening one, making it virtually impossible for alex to be anywhere for a match on saturday, maybe the vienna q sign in is on the friday as well, the alt sign in is on the friday.

Looking at the draw, I think it's most likely that Mons will want their evening showpiece match which the most spectators will come to, to be Olivier Rochus v Janko Tipsarevic, that's going to be "the match" of the quarter-finals. That'll probably start at about 8.00pm.

I think Boggo v Vliegen is more likely to be sometime in the afternoon, maybe 3rd on which would give Alex time to catch that 9pm flight to Stockholm if he loses.

Rennes have cleared both SE spots now so i guess thats out for boggo, if he wants to play next week looks like it will have to be qualifers in stockhlom, but if he wins his QF then i guess he may be having a week off,

Looks like Alex will be having a week off now, probably a good thing, he can recharge his batteries after Mons, head to Kolding early and get used to the courts there. The last thing he wants is his hip or groin injuries coming back.

It'll be interesting to see if any Brits go for ATP qualies this week.

We've got Martin Lee and Bloomers committed to Rennes which leaves Goodall, Mackin, Marray, Auckland, Childs and Delgado unaccounted for this week.

They could go for Rennes qualies, Vienna qualies, Stockholm qualies or St Petersburg qualies.

I reckon that Mackin and Goodall will go for one of the ATPs and Marray and Lee Childs will go for Rennes. Auckland and Delgado are probably not high enough to make the cut for the doubles main draw of any of the ATPs apart from maybe St Petersburg so they're most likely to try and qualify for Rennes and play doubles there.

No Brits in Vienna or St Petersburg qualies, big opportunity missed there as the St Petersburg qualies draw is really weak.

Looks great, it's going to be a very busy day tomorrow, scoreboard-wise, following all the Brits.

I'll start a new thread for Stockholm
