kubot is still in sezchain, but unless he suffers a bad injury (is it moraly ok to hope he does?) i cant see him pulling out in time to help alex reagrdless, however alex should be a top seed in the q's right, will the top seeds gets 1st roudn q bys here i wonder?
alex is 2nd behind ulrich in thailand but ulrich is next in in palermo (huge ammounts of wd's there) so theres still a chance of scrapping in some where.

i believe he has to now go to bangkok, as he has made the main draw he has been removed from the mumbai alt list, and should he pull out from bangkok he cant play anywhere else on the atp tour.
James Auckland's number 2 seed in qualifying for Mumbai.
He has a bye in the first round then plays the winner of the match between two local players, Raja(WR890) and Xavier(unranked). Four more Indians are in the other half of his qualifying draw.
Superb news that Boggo's got into the Bangkok main draw, he'll have longer prepare as his first match won't be until Monday at least which is an added bonus for him.
Also, it will probably suit him better there as it'll be on his favourite surface of indoor hard while Mumbai was outdoors. Also, the conditions will be less extreme in Bangkok.
Unfortunately the field in Bangkok is stronger than in Mumbai with Ljubicic, Blake and Baghdatis playing, hopefully Boggo doesn't draw any of those three in rds 1 or 2.

James has a great chance of qualifying for an ATP event for the first time. He's come close a few times in the past at Queens. He should get past Raja or Xavier and then in the final qualies round tomorrow he's likely to face 7th seed Aditya Madkekar of India [wr: 773]. Madkekar has only played a few tournament all year, all in India. He did ok in the recent satellite there, reaching a couple of semis but I don't think he's ever been past rd3 of a futures in his career and it looks as though he's only ever been in rd2 twice.
James will have entered Mumbai also to play the doubles. I wonder who he'll partner, maybe Jamie Murray has made the trip over, I expect they'd make the cut with the field being so weak. I did actually expect to see him in Bangkok, going for the doubles with Andy Murray but maybe Andy's just concentrating on singles this week.

Jamie Murray is in qualifying at bangkok so i doubt it....
Oh yes, I didn't see that. Maybe Jamie Delgado is heading to Mumbai for the doubles, he's not entered anywhere else and I think they'd have a good chance of getting in.
Auckland was due to play his rd2 qualies match at midday GMT but the scoreboard doesn't seem to be working today
Rd2 qualies: J Auckland [GB][2] bt P Raja [Ind] 6-3, 6-4
James faces 7th seed Madkekar in the final qualies round. He should win, Madkekar's results this year haven't been particularly good at all apart from a couple of semis in the August India satellite which did have a weak field.
Auckland v Madkekar will be on court 1 tomorrow at about 11.30 am BST. Hopefully the scoreboard will be working.
The doubles draw has been released and James will be partnering Jamie Delgado. It's a pretty weak field, more like that of a 50K challenger than an ATP and they're the 4th seeds so a fantastic opportunity to really boost their rankings.
They play Italians Stefano Galvani and Davide Sanguinetti in rd1.
Their first match will be on Tuesday or Wednesday. I expect that Jamie will have left Ukraine by now, so he should have time to acclimatise. I hope he isn't too down after the loss on Saturday, this is a great chance for him to move closer to the top 100. If he can maybe get into the top 110 by the end of the year, he and Auckland could make the Aussie Open doubles cut provided that Aucks is in the top 80.
Unfortunately the scoreboard isn't working for the qualifying today
