The Swiss guy's finally won it! He had so many chances to win it earlier. Could be good sign for Boggo

Wow, Chiudinelli has finally won it. He did everything he could to lose that one, the number of chances he choked away.

I really thought that this challenger would be between either Oli Rochus, Christophe Rochus, Vliegen or Dick Norman. However, all of the big four have gone out before the semis !!!!!

Norman was ousted by Chiudinelli in rd2, they had a mammoth 1st set breaker which knocked the stuffing out of Norman and he collapsed in set 2. Vliegen was outlasted by Wauters, Christophe Rochus was outplayed by Korolev and Tipsarevic just blew Oli Rochus off the court 6-4, 6-0 with a display of power-hitting from the baseline.

How the hell(sorry!) did Tipsarevic beat Rochus so comprehensively 2 and 0

Certainly a big chance here for Alex to win, mind you I'd rather see him face Korolev just for the fact he's another young gun I've been following

According to PatatRiek:

Tipsarevic was extremely aggressive from the baseline and just hit Rochus off the court, Olivier didn't do anything particularly bad, Tipsarevic was just on fire from the back of the court, smoking winners to all corners and winning 9 straight games from 1-2 in the 1st set.

Certainly probably one of Tipsy best performances of his career really to beat such a player. Never heard of him on such form before really

Yeah I normally associate Tippy with "those shades" rather than blazing forehand and backhand winners
