Not many British women in action this week and none in futures main draws apart from 19 year old Kirsty Woolley who turns 20 on the 16th. She's ranked 766.

Kirsty is on an 8 match losing streak stretching back to June. The last time she won a match was on Spanish clay, so hopefully a return to that surface will see a return to form for her. She has a good chance of ending her losing streak, her Spanish opponent is ranked 968 and has been as high as 506 but that was in 2003. Fondevila has also been in fairly poor form since reaching a 10k semis in Spain in June.
