Things have turned all pear shaped in the last 10min, Sarah has chucked away a seemingly unassailable lead and 2mps to lose and Katie has chucked away 2 breaks having served for the match twice and is now 6-5 down

I simply couldn't believe what I was seeing in this match on the scoreboard. At 5-2 in the 2nd Katie had it done and dusted but how on earth did she manage to lsoe 7 successive games from there. She had a similar situation in Wimbledon qualifying, I think a sports psychologist is definately needed, her coach did actually mention something about this in the interview with her earlier this year in British tennis magazine.

It's been a truly dreadful qualifying tournament with Anne having a great draw but losing to someone ranked 100 places lower in rd1, Sarah missing 3 match points - losing the last 5 points in the breaker, Mel being outplayed from 4-4 in set 1 in her match and Katie throwing away what looked like an unassailable lead.

As I was asking myself last night, why do these chokes always seem to occur when Brits are playing foreigners and get nervous when trying to close out the match, but never the other way round - foreigners choking away winning leads against Brits.

Didn`t Katie get a wildcard at Wimbledon? Either way, I agree about the sports psychologist.

Cohen-Aloro "choked" a Set and 3-1 lead.
