RE: Greg & Boggo's rankings week 33

wow, Al is so close to greg now, no disrespct to Al but thats got to be so painful for greg. al has nothing to defend so depending on the way the uso goes al could overtake him? is greg playing anywhere next week?

As you say Count, Greg's fall continues.  With the 35 points he was defending from getting to R2 in Cincy last year dropping off, he dropped another 10 places to 137th, just four places and 12 points above Boggo.

Greg's only defending 5 at the USO, so won't drop any points there. Boggo's gotr no points to defend until September.

If Boggo had got to the semis in Graz, he would indeed have been Britain's number 3. If he makes it through the qualies at the USO, he'll also go ahead of Greg!

Greg's down for New Haven next week, so hopefully he'll be able to pull back a few points before the USO.

Anyway, just to cover the runners & riders this week.

Boggo's closest rival at the start of the week, Economides has overtaken, and is now level on points with Greg. He's playing Berlocq in the QF in Italy today, and will overtake Greg if he wins. Zib plays Russell, also in the QF in the weaker draw in the Bronx, and will also overtake if he reaches the semis.

There's only one other threat behind our boys: Gorka Fraile, who needs to reach the final of the Cordenons tournament to overtake Boggo, and to win it to overtake them both.

Worst case for Greg is to drop 3 more places to 140th. For Boggo is to drop one more to 143rd.

RE: Greg and Boggo's rankings week 33

The first post is updated.

In Italy, Economides has now overtaken Greg as well as Boggo.

Fraile went out, as did Zib in the Bronx. So that's that for Greg & Boggo this week: no- one else can overtake, and Greg ends up down another one at 138th, while Boggo ends up at 142nd.
