As you can see, Tim has dropped two places at the start of the week because of his defending.

As last week he is right on the edge of the cut off for Cincinnati so many people just below him are taking the week off. However, there is a group poised to overtake him:

Bracciali, Lopez, Fish and Phau. Further back the threats are Goldstein and anyone who qualifies for Cinci. (I'll check that in a mo!)

Ahead, Tim would gain three or four places by reaching rd2, however he plays Murray and beyond that possibly Federer so the likelihood of progressing is low. I'll give more info tomorrow morning when the rankings are updated and everything is definite (ie I'll know who's qualified etc).

I've added onto the table the qualifiers for Cincy.

The old fav Sanguinetti is back. And Mahut, Seppi and Lee join those lining up to overtake Tim.

Table updated. Tim drops another place as Fish reaches the second round.

Bracciali, Lopez and Phau all play today so watch out for them. Tim also plays today.

Phau and Lopez both lost, but Bracciali is putting up a spirited fight with Roddick.

I have updated the table on page 1 as Imoen doesn't seem to be around. I haven't a clue how to put the formatting right though!

Thank you both.

Good news is the immediate threats to Tim all went out! Bad news is he's now being chased by three qualifiers,

Lee, Gimlestob and Spadea.

So worst case for Tim is that all three overtake: drop to 65 (6 down on last week)

Best case none overtake: drop to 62 (3 down on last week.)

Some good pinwork people, (I'm sure it was the pins and not the opponent) Lee lost to Nadal.

And then there were two.

Gimlestob is currently on court against Soderling.

Spadea is also currently on court playing Chela.

Keep the pins sticking in hard.

yep. Tim is now safe for the week at 62, not too bad concidering 26 people could have overtaken him at the beginning of the week.

Table updated for the end of round 2. the only people left in are Wawrinka and Serra who both got scalps. They will either jump off the top of the table tomorrow or go out so the table will probably be finished off tomorrow evening.

Tim has lost a total of 3 places this week.

Please head over to Andy's thread to make use of all your spare pins.

Both Serra and Wawrinka went out today so the table is complete.
