looks like they might. I've been trying out all of Drew's suggestions on the model of Ginepri, hopefully something works! All I have left is my usual chicken sacrifice so I'll be off...

Well, that win moves Andy up a place to 18th and he can only be overtaken by two people now as Hrbaty went out alongside Ginepri.
Ferrero can overtake if Andy loses next round and Ferrero gets to the final and Chela can overtake if Andy loses next round and Chela wins the tournament.
If Andy wins next round Ferrero would need to win to overtake and if Andy reaches the final no one can overtake.

looks like it. I knew we needed to bring out the big guns to help Andy this time. I guess I'll have to do it again tomorrow, but it's just soo messy especially when the chicken keeps running round afterwards. , well, anything for Andy to go further I suppose.

look at the people ahead of andy in ranking: Haas, Hewitt, Rodddick, Murray.
Looks quite good

Murray has defeated Roddick twice and Hewitt once, so it's not surprising to see him now challenging those big names in the rankings. Although, if Andy was get to the final, he would he be level with Haas (I think) on points, so who would be ahead in the ranking?

Yeah, Andy would be ahead. It is worked out on how many points have been won in mandatory tournaments.
Haas has won 590, is defending 5 which is replaced by 75 so 660.
Andy has won 440, is defending 35 which (if he got to the final) would be replaced by 350, leaving him with 755, more than Haas so he would go in front.

Also, if murray does really well at the US Open, say at least the QFs, and hes ranked about 9/10 in the ATP Race, we should a seperate thread for that as the Race to Shanghai!!
