For some reason Alan Wright has again moved up to Challenger qualies here. In round 1 he plays Adriano Biasella (Ita). A win in round 1 would see Alan play the 5th seed who received a bye.
This was a really tough match for Alan as Biasella is ranked over 400 places higher at 725.
He got off to a superb start, winning the 1st set 6-2 but was unable to keep it up and the Italian cruised through the next 2 sets 6-2, 6-3.
Alan entered a futures qualies in Italy last week and lost in 3 sets in rd1. I think he'd be best off entering those though to build up some form and confidence. This year he's entered 4 challengers and hasn't come close to qualifying for any of them
