Will Gasquet overtake Andy if he beats him tonight, or wins tournament, or neither??

Gasquet will overtake if he wins the tournament, not if he wins tonight and then loses the tournament.

I think Bethan has gone, Drew.

Andy will stay at 21 unless Gasquet wins the tournament, in which case he would drop to 22.

Woohoo - I'd be happy with 22!

But much happier if Roger(presumably) whups Richard in the final and leaves Andy at 21. . .

Sorry guys, my internet dropped out (luckily it lasted long enough for the end of the match but literally seconds after that...).

As Madeline said it leaves Andy at either 21 on 22, which is a 10 or 9 place rise so not bad!

It's been a great week - he should be very proud of himself. Just a shame that the Cincy draw sucks so much because it would have been nice if he could have made up a little more ground. Now unfortunately he's probably going to fall back a wee bit. Ah well, that was being greedy anyway.

As expected, Andy moved to 21 in the rankings today.

And for those who like to know these things, he also gained 10 places in the ATP race to number 19 so based on this years results alone, Andy is one of the top 20 players in the world.
