Tursunov 6-3

Not looking good, I feared the worst when I heard the match was in the evening. Tursunov's brute force from the baseline tends to overpower Tim in the slow, muggy conditions and Tim seems to run out of ideas against him.

I was up most of the night last night and it was definitely working for this court then.

More bad news unfortunately, Tim's been broken at the start of the 2nd set.

He's serving at 0-2 down

You are so right....for Tim to play well against a guy like Tursunov it has to be during the day, while sunny and hot.  The same thing happenned at the Aussie Open...on court late during slow conditions....Tim will struggle now....ticks me off as I thought after Queens he had a shot....

I still have not given up on this though....with Tursunov he can go off the boil and fast.

Like in the French Open. In the evening Dima was thrasing him in but when it resumed during the day Tim played much better winning the first set after resumption and should have made it 2-2 in sets but blew easy chances.

I agree, Tim must keep fighting, Tursunov is so unpredictable he can easily go off the boil and throw in a run of sloppy games. What really bugged me when listening to the radio commentary on the Tim v Tursunov Aussie and RG matches was that the commentators seemed to have given up on Tim's chances virtually after the 1st set , found it really irritating, especially with Chris Bailey continously comparing Tursunov's physique to that of superman.

Not to be mean but is there a worse commentator than Chris Bailey?  I have only heard him once on the tennis channel and he was awful....also a Henman match....

Ye that really old guy for Sky Sports. David Mercer could be his name, its so annoying the way he states the obvious like Murray is in trouble here when he is 0-5 down in the 3rd set at 0-40 or when he says Murray isn't playing well today so far when he has not won a point in 5 games. Atleast Chris Bailey and other Sky Sports and BBc commentarots say some stats, how players are using shot selections, head to heads etc to make it more lively. If he commentates on his own i just turn the volume off.
