It could have been better but then again it could have been a lot worse.
It looks like Arvind's on his way out against Kendrick, he was broken twice in the 1st set to lose it 6-3 and Kendrick's been rattling through his service games with no trouble whatsoever. He leads 1-0 in set 2 and has 0-15 on Arvind's serve.
Since Wimbledon, he's made the quarters of Newport and Aptos and also qualified for TMS Toronto and gave Hrbaty a tough match in rd1. He has a point to prove after not being given a wc by the USTA. Unfortunately his game matches up rather well against Arvind, very attacking player and it's on fast courts, as we saw at Wimbledon he's a superb volleyer and Arvind's passing shots aren't the best. The Kendrick backhand is the most likely to break down but as Nadal found, getting to it is very hard as he runs around it so well.
Arvind recovered from 0-15 to 40-15. Kendrick got it back to deuce but now Arv's got advantage
