I heard Henman had a wild card to Toronto, but can someone confirm this?  I know he is in at Cinci....

Where did you hear that Doug ? Mkkreuk heard the same thing on steveg but then someone else there said that all 4 wcs had gone to Canadians. Haven't seen the wildcards officially announced anywhere yet though.

I thought I had read it here I wonder if Mkkreuk posted it.  After reading it I went to Henman's web site and it is on his schedual so I got excited about it but not being sure I asked my question.  I know I read it on a board and I thought I read it here.

michael posted it on the WC for tim thread (http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=61841&p=3&topicID=7627452) that he had seen it appear on his website. But the rogerscup website said that the four had gone to 4 canadians so im

I think mkkreuk may have posted it in the Andy's schedule section. If it's on Henman's schedule on his website then he must have a wildcard as Tim is responsible for all the information which goes onto there. So, it looks like we'll have 2 Brits to follow in Canada which is great news !

Arvind is something like no 4 on the alternates list for Toronto qualifying. He's also made the main draw for the Binghampton challenger this week so it'll be interesting to see which he chooses

Tim didn't get a wild card for Totonto. He got in on the alternates list

Greg also made this event because the cut off was before he lost his points from Newport. He desperately needs to do well as his defending 225 points from last year and it is his only big stack of points. He could easily drop outside the top 100.

Andy has ferrer in the first round (a decent draw as david is a clay courter predominantly)

Henman has bjorkman in the first round - i would fancy tim to win given recent results. In the second round andy and tim would then meet if they won their first matches. The winner of that would get either stepanek, vliegen, moya or gaudio. Guys who are either claycourters and/or not in the best of form. AFter that - they could face david nalbandian. I would bank on henman reaching the 2r, Andy reaching the QF.

Greg has a toughish opener with YOuzhny and then probably berdych.

Parmar has lost the first set in qualies and is 4-4 in the 2nd.

This is a great draw for Andy but not great for Tim or Greg. Andy really has a very good chance to reach the QF and he really needs to take advantage of good draws like this as in cinci or US Open if he is not seeded he ould you have a terrible draw. US OPEN Seeding is a must.

thats why winning washington could be very useful - it would virtually guarantee a us open seeding especially with the clay courters starting to struggle.

I think we might get our wish...a Henman/Andy second round match....not perfect, I'd have much rather have had it in that semi played today....but I fancy both to win their first round matches and then an on form Andy to beat Tim....

What a good draw for Andy....all winnable matches...then a QF against Nalbandian maybe ?

Back to back wins !!!!
