Meanwhile remote Greg threats Daniel, Pashanski, Vanek all went out

Vanek is currently on court against local boy Przysienzy according to the scoreboard. Though he's down a set.

For a few minutes ( long enough to mess up the post) I'd thought Di Mauro had won their R1. Luckily Di Mauro was more of a threat than Vanek

Przysiezny's winning 6-3 4-1  could be another Greg threat out of the way soon!

First up in Washington: Tim target, Clement vs Hrbaty. Tim overtakes if he reaches the semis & Clement doesn't.

Then we've got Tim threat  Fish playing Stoppini, and remote Greg threat Moodie  playing on- form Kenneth Carlslen.

...then it gets too late to keep our eyes open, and Tim target Lopez  will hopefully be seen off by Andy.

Then there's the small matter of remote Greg threat  Lee, who takes on Tursunov. I think, for Tim's sake, its probably best if Dimo disappears here?

Woohoo! My editing rights have returned!  Thank- you Activeboard people.

The table is updated.

Well last night's pins saw off Lopez (thanks Andy!), but otherwise, all the biggies got through.

Calleri,  Henman , Fish, Mayer, Moodie  all advance.

(Safin is looking very dangerous just off the bottom of the table).

Lopez and Lee from the table drop out, along with remote Greg threat Vanek (and Blake, Hrbaty and Robredo!!!)

Chela & Calleri drop back below Andy after last night's QF. Andy stays at 33rd!

Tim rises above Lopez, Bracchiali and Kohlschreiber into the top 60 at 59th!

As predicted, Greg is overtaken by Mayer and is now 72nd

The Revised Pessimists post:

Greg, who's already lost two places could lose a maximum of another 2 places (was 1+5 yesterday), dropping to 74th overall. Moodie, Safin and Marach can overtake if they reach their finals(but Mooide and Safin have to beat each other, so a max of 2 will).

If Tim & Andy go out in the Quarter- finals.

Andy could drop a maximum of 2 places to 35th (no change).Chela and Calleri can overtake if they make the semis.
Tim could lose a maximum of 4 places, to drop to 63rd. Fish(SF), Mayer(F), Moodie, Marach and Safin(all W)  can overtake (no change).

If Tim & Andy make it to the Semi- finals

Andy would not gain places, but could lose a maximum of 1, to drop to 34th. Chela or Calleri  can overtake if one reaches the final(no change).
Tim would gain 1 (Clement), then could lose a maximum of 3, to drop back 2 to 61 (no change). Clement, Fish and Mayer can overtake (was 5).

If Tim OR Andy make it to the final (they would meet in the semis)

Andy would gain 2(Grosjean, Bjorkman), then could lose a maximum of 1, to gain a min of 1 to 32. Chela or Calleri can overtake if they win Sopot (no change).
Tim would gain 5, then could lose a max of 3, to gain a min of 2, to 57th (was 58th!).  Volandri(SF), Clement(F) and Fish(W) can overtake (was 5).

If Tim OR Andy win the tournament

Andy would gain 6, then could lose a max of 1. to gain a min of 5, to 28th! Tursunov can overtake if he reaches the semi (no change).
Tim would gain 12, then could lose a max of 1, to gain a min of 14, to 48th! Volandri can overtake if he wins Sopot. (no change)
