Sorry this is a little late, but after the match I had to get the kids to bed etc.

The match was closer than the score suggested. I think Jamie and Butorac came out a little nervous. Not sure if you know this, but Jamie was not broken in the match. Butorac was broken three times. Both M & B looked great doubles players with potential, both are lefties and serve well. Both are comfortable at the net, Jamie returns better and I think in today’s match Jamie looked the better. I hope they continue to play together as it was clear they have great chemistry.

As for Jamie, I have no idea why he is not ranked higher in singles. It is clear that he serves and vollies very very well. Very comfortable at net, he hit some amazing lobs during the match. Stands a little far back when he returns on both first and second serves, but all in all I was very impressed. I know he is on a challenger tour right now, in many ways I hope he gets a w/c here and there or gets to try to qualify, but if he is playing with Butorac I expect them to go deep into the tournament they are playing which leaves little chance to try to qualify in singles the following week.

Anyway, I enjoyed this. It was great and Jamie will soon be in the top 100 for doubles and will be a great help for DC! I still have this recorded in case any of you have any questions.
