Lol
He must have nerves of steel, he's come through so many really tight 3rd sets and tiebreakers in the last couple of weeks, he must have saved more match points than any other player in those two tournaments.
At the rate he's going, he'll be well inside the top 250 after Ikeley. He'll be able to get into US Open qualies so he could go to the States at the beginning of August and play the Bronx and Binghampton challengers as warm-ups for the qualies.

A Parmar [GB] bt C Guccione [Aus][7] 7-6[5], 7-6[3]
Fantastic wins for all 3 !!! Jonny securing a rare win on grass and overcoming a rankings gap of over 150 places against the big-serving Frenchman. Despite being Mexican, Gonzalez is no mug on grass he beat Lee in straights in this tournament last year and pushed Boggo very close in rd2. He's now ranked 168 and has had plenty of success in challengers this year. All of which makes Lee's revenge even more impressive. After last week's disappointment, a fantastic return to form for Arvind with the predictable tiebreaks.
But, saving the best until last....
Result of the day:
C Fleming [GB] [wr:378] bt G Elseneer [Bel][4] [wr:186] 2-6, 6-3, 6-2
was anyone there today? I popped in breifly at lunchtime just to catch the end of Martin Lee's match. I think that dispelled my belief that the brits only win when i'm watching!
Some good results for the Brits today. The chances of a Brit winning the tournaments looks quite great certainly with 7 through to the 2nd round and 2 guarenteed to make it to the QF's.
Moan the Brits. Especially Fleming and Mackin, no reason in particular for that though.

Jan Vacek (Cze) bt Toshihide Matsui (Jpn) 7-5 5-7 6-3
Jonathan Marray (Gbr) bt Joseph Sirianni (Aus) 6-2 6-3,
Good results for the brits today, good win from Arv against Mankad, Josh wins another really tight match and Jonny takes care of Sirianni in emphatic fashion. A good day for us!
but he does normally pick up a challenger win a year, more often overseas tho, but with no boggo here and that great opening win surely he is feeling confident?? mackin next for the big man.
