The first thing to notice is that Paul- Henri Matthieu has dropped below Andy because of his Stuttgart points from last year dropping off his ranking.

the second thing to notice is that Tim is one again British number 2 as Greg loses last year's Indianapolis points

Tim also gains three places as Ramirez - Hidalgo and Augustin Calleri also lose points they are defending.

Greg's slide down the rankings continues, and we'll have to hope he recovers from his injuries before Toronto ands gets points there, or he'll not qualify for Masters events later in the year.

Andy's prospects this week

The Worst case scenario is for Andy to drop 8 places from his 34th place, or 7 from his 35 at the start of the week, meaning he'll end up at 42nd. There's a lot of points on offer in Stuttgart, and there's a lot of Andy's competitors there However he should be fine until Wednesday, as no- one get get past him in R1.

Here's the list of competitors who can overtake:

Matthieu and Djokovic need a Quarter- finals places in Amersfoort, where they are 2nd & 3rd seeds.
Massu and Almagro need semis places in Amersfoort and Stuttgart respectively.
Srichapan  and Malisse need to reach the final in Indianapolis. Unfortunately, they're in opposite halves of the draw, so one can't knock the other out on the way.
Chela, Simon, Serra and Gasquet need to reach the final in Stuttgart. Obviously only two can succeed.
Moya needs to win in Amersfoort (and get past Massui n the QF).
Youzhny, Mirnyi and Horna need to win in Stuttgart, (and get past all the finalists above).

Tim's prospects this week

The new British number 2, having gained three places to 60th as competitors defend points could lose a worst case 11 places, making a net loss of eight, at 71st.

Ramirez-Hidalgo and Calleri just need to win their first round matches in Amersfoort.
Kohlschreiber, Mayer and Rochus  need to reach the Quarters in Stuttgart (3 wins each).
Seppi, Sanguinetti, Mahut, Wawrinka, Vik and Pavel need to reach the semis.
Pashanski, Garcia-Lopez, Muller, Gimelstob, Dlouhy, Schuettler,  Melzer and Monaco need to reach the finals.
Many more, going out of the top 100 could overtake if they win their tournament. If they're still around on Friday, we'll revisit.

Greg's prospects this week

The new number 3, having already lost 8 places to 67th, could lose up to 13 more - 80th.
Mahut just needs to win his second round match in Induanapolis (he has a R1 bye)
Wawrinka  just needs to win his R2 match in Stuttgart
Vik just needs a QF place in Stuttgart (3 wins)
Pashanski, Pavel, Muller, Dlouhy, Garcia-Lopez, Schuettler, Greul, and Melzer need Semi finals places.
Daniel needs to win the Challenger in Istanbul
Gimelstob, Goldstein, Gicquel, Monaco, Kunitsyn, Marach and Gabashvili  need to reach their finals.

Again, many more could go past if they win their tournaments.
