RE: GB F9 - Felixstowe

A more up to date singles draw has been posted on the tournament website.

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/carlbaldwintennis/MS.pdf

It seems like only those five matches were completed. Maybe it rained.

I hoped David Rice would draw another qualifier but I would have prefered if it wasn't Peric (wr-867) still it will be interesting to see how he gets on. Ed Corrie has drawn Richard Wire so that is a guarenteed point for one of our young guns.

There's a bucket load of Brits into round two here! Great news. Good win for TOm Rushby, he's not had one for a while.

That's 5 guaranteed British quarterfinalists as Smith plays Wire!

Josh looking good after first set blip! Go Andy Kennaugh - you've got grass pedigree!

Looks like playing singles in Felixtowe was the better decision than playing double with your brother in the states....

Yeah...totally agree that Andy has "Grass Pedigree"!  Saw him win Stella juniors last year and know he had potential! What makes a difference is that he is a top bloke.  Not arrogant at all! Maybe that will be his downfall...do you have to be a bit of a dick to get ahead in tennis...?!

No.  I think you can be nice, but you have to have a mean streak on court.  Take no prisoners! I have neva seen this Andy, heard of him, but can anyone tell me what he is like on court? Is he nice on the court too? BTW does anyone know if Andy has a bro who played/plays tennis...think I remember the surname.

Singles matches start at 1030 today with Colin Fleming up first on Court 1 and Andy Kennaugh 3rd on Court 1.

Josh Goodall is up 2nd on court 2 and Bamford vs Smith is 4th on Court two.

Most of the doubles players are still in singles so these are scheduled to start around 4.

Good luck to all the British players today!

Hi Feddiez - welcome to the board!

I've not heard of another Kennaugh in tennis, and there's not one on the ATP list (but then I'm not the most knowledgeable chap here).  Or maybe you're talking about another Andy? Hmmm not sure I can think of any others in British tennis...
